Electrical Installation Condition Report
(EICR)

An EICR, carried out by a qualified electrician, is the best way to check that your electrical system is safe to use and working as it should. Think of it as a health check for your wiring. When done properly an EICR should take a number of hours and a thorough report issued at the end of it.

Landlords Electrical Safety Certificate

New legislation means that all rental properties in Wales must have a satisfactory EICR in place by December 2022. If you are a Welsh landlord you should act now to get an EICR commissioned. An EICR should be carried out every 5 years in a rental property, with at least a visual inspection on every change of tenancy. Heathwood Electrics can help with carrying out EICRs and visual inspections and issue you with all the paperwork you need to make sure you comply with government legislation. Contact Heathwood Electrics if you need an EICR in Cardiff or anywhere in South Wales.

Moving Home Electrical Survey

When buying a new home it's a good idea to have the electrical system checked. A house survey will look for structural issues but only by carrying out an EICR will you know what condition the electrical system is in. If you are selling, why not get a report done for potential buyers? It will give potential buyers confidence that your electrical system is in good working order.
